The splicing of component tapes is used to connect two tapes together. This means that the component reel in the tape feeder does not have to be changed, but a new, full component tape can be spliced to the empty tape outside the pick-and-place machine without having to stop the production line. This reduces downtimes and prevents the loss of components.<\/p>\n

For splicing, the tapes must first be cut straight. The cutting device ensures a precise cut, after which the tapes are joined together using the splicing tool and double-sided splicing tape, resulting in an almost invisible connection.<\/p>\n

Suitable splicing tapes can be also proposed on request.<\/p>\n<\/div>
