Foldable Splicing Tool
Test now: Foldable aplicing tool for tapes
The splicing of component tapes is used to connect two tapes together. This means that the component reel in the tape feeder does not have to be changed, but a new, full component tape can be spliced to the empty tape outside the pick-and-place machine without having to stop the production line. This reduces downtimes and prevents the loss of components.
A famous method to connect the tapes with each other is the use of a splicing tong and splice plates. Using these plates, the surface of the connection point can sometimes be uneven und lead to problems in the pick and place system.
With the Foldable Splicing Tool MJ-172 and the double adhesive splicing tapes nearly invisible connection points will be created.
Suitable splicing tapes can be also proposed on request.
